Hello again from Transylvania! We are back in Brasov for an extended weekend to explore some of the surrounding towns. Today we took a tour to Sinai to see the Peles and Pelisor castles. Lots and lots of wood carvings everywhere intermixed with Murano glass and huge mirrors. (we actually thought while it was archectually complex...it was also rather tacky. but i guess you cant account for the taste of 1900 kings and queens.) The second palace was more of a large house with dollhouse-like white furniture and grandmother designs. Worth a look, but wouldn't live in. Oh and there were like 7-8 people per floor watching you and following you to make sure you didn't take pictures without paying. The large castle did have some interesting progressive features like a central heating system, central vacuum, elevator, and electronic sliding stained glass ceiling. The ride over was also really pretty as it was snowing. (Becca thinks I am funny, but I really like the snow).
Afterwards we wandered around Brasov and found lots of stuff we hadn't seen before, like the 2 towers and the town wall. Tomorrow we are going to another town that I can't pronounce let alone spell, so Becca will have to tell you about it tomorrow.

Could I suggest that the'cream puffs' in your photo are, in fact, profiteroles?
Trevor, they sound like the same thing - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Profiterole
they might be, but these weren't sliced in half, they were filled. whatever they are, they are good.
